"Standards are as high as the opportunity for growth and education. In the last year I have attended 5 days worth of private workshops hosted in our salon and taught by a range of celebrity master groomers, taken time off to attend multiple outside seminars and tradeshows, completed my certifications to become an NCMG and am halfway to completing my AKC Master Groomer, and I've represented the salon and placed in competition. The amount I've accomplished with the support of this salon and it's management/ownership cannot be understated. Employees are given the freedom to request their own schedule as well as take as few or many dogs as they'd like/are able. I've never worked somewhere where so many individuals could support themselves and live independently without roommates or s/o to split bills with while maintaining work/life balance. The comradery and support from coworkers is unmatched and I always look forward to seeing everyone in and outside of work."

Just want to share how awesome our shop is! I will start off saying I’ve had the pleasure of calling A Clip Above my 2nd home for the last 13 years, Ive seen Lindsay build this place from the ground up and turn it into the amazing atmosphere for not only all our staff but or clients as well! I started with not much grooming experience and worked my way up to a leadership role and have learned so much over the years and still learn new things all the time! The groomers are all very friendly and welcoming and supportive. We are always hosting seminars/workshops with the best of the best to always continue furthering our education & have a few groomers who compete or want to compete & have gotten or working towards getting master certifications! We are always busy and clients are amazing and generous! Definitely worth coming and checking out our gorgeous salon in person! 9/17/2024

"At A Clip Above, the pay is really good. Clients are generous; I made an extra $700 a Week just in TIPS, which is a great bonus on top of my regular salary. The salon charges based on the dog's weight, which is excellent. Plus, you can charge extra for services like de-matting, de-shedding, Paw treatments, mud baths, and more. The more services you offer, the more money you can make! Their mentality is: Change your worth! (of course they have a base price but if you need to work more on the dogs you can charge for it! )
You also have the option to pick up extra dogs if you want to earn more, making it a great way to boost your income when you’re saving up for something special. The salon is open every day from 7 AM to 7 PM, giving you plenty of opportunities to work additional hours if you choose.
However, you’re not pushed to work long hours. Many groomers work a normal schedule of 5 days for 8 hours a day, so you can decide to do more or do less. Plus, the Salon has multiple levels for groomers, so as you improve your skills and gain experience, you can also increase your earnings. Overall, it’s a fantastic place to work if you want to make a good living while doing what you love! "

I've been working for A Clip Above for 9 years now! I have had nothing but respect, appreciation and support from my management here. The owner and managers are nothing but helpful and are there for you through anything you need, inside and outside of work! This place has been here for me through the loss of family members, a divorce, loss of pets and other personal things in my life and I have NEVER once felt alone with this business and work family by my side. On top of supporting me, I have also been able to further my grooming career, learn new things I never thought I could do as well as climb into a leadership role and become another inspiration to the up and coming members of the salon.
I highly recommend A Clip Above as a safe, positive and loyal work place and I don't see myself ever working anywhere else. 12/22/2023
